A Google Sheets sidebar add-on that syncs Notion databases into spreadsheets — built in two weeks with no AI, validated on Reddit, and now $9K/month at a 90% margin from Buenos Aires
450+ paying customers · 70K+ users · ~$120K lifetime revenue over 4 years · ~90% margin · ~5K visitors/mo

Leandro studied electronics engineering in Buenos Aires and, in his words, "college made me literally hate electronics." So he taught himself JavaScript instead — chosen specifically because with it you can build mobile apps, web apps and everything else — and it took him about a year. Then he freelanced for eight years. He describes the problem with that clearly: "you have an entrepreneur spirit, you want to make the decisions, and sometimes you're not in charge." During Covid he quit everything at once. No more clients, no more anything. He had savings, he knew how to code, and he had eight years of experience. "I want to give it a shot." The idea arrived because of where he already was. He had been building an integration between Google Sheets and another service, so he had spent real time inside the Sheets API. At exactly that moment Notion released their official API. He noticed a gap between what Notion users needed and what Notion provided, and instead of assuming, he went and checked: he opened the Notion subreddit and searched for "sheets", "google sheets", "excel", "CSV" — every keyword adjacent to what he was thinking of building. He found a lot of people trying to get their data out of Notion and into a spreadsheet so they could actually work with it. That was enough. He built the MVP in two weeks and found beta testers. Four years later the add-on has more than 70,000 users, more than 450 paying customers, does about $9,000 a month, and has brought in roughly $120,000 in lifetime revenue — most of it, he says, in the last one or two years. He runs it alongside raising a two-year-old.

Every figure is self-reported by the founder with no dashboard or third-party data shown: $9,000/month, 70,000+ users, 450+ paying customers, ~5,000 visitors/month, ~$120,000 lifetime revenue over four years, ~90% margin, the two-week build time, and the $5K-to-$8K move after removing the free plan. The ~0.6% free-to-paid conversion is our arithmetic from his user and customer counts. The stack details (Apps Script, TypeScript, Google Cloud + Firebase, SendGrid, Mixpanel, Paddle, Tidio) and the reason for Paddle (Stripe unavailable in Argentina) are as stated. ⚠️ The product name is mangled by the auto-generated captions, appearing as both "Synto sheets" and "Cto Sheets"; we have rendered it as Sync2Sheets, which is the most plausible reading, but verify the exact spelling before publication. Google Sheets is likewise transcribed in places as "Wool Sheets". Location is founder-stated: the host says "you live in Buenos Aires, Argentina" and the founder confirms and describes his day there.
