A micro SaaS that turns dropped-in B2B spec sheet PDFs into an automatic comparison table
priced at $49/mo ยท comes with a data moat

SpecSheet also comes from Greg Isenberg's MicroSaaS 101, but it has a trait the others lack โ a data moat. In his commentary Greg contrasts it with crowded ideas like "podcast editing": those spaces are jammed with people doing the same thing, whereas SpecSheet has few collisions and gets stronger the more people use it. He judges that a tool with this kind of data moat has a shot at $20K/mo or more โ but to be honest about it, he gives no real revenue numbers; this is a "potential" assessment. The pain point lives inside large companies, out of public view, which is why founders who've never worked in one often can't feel that it exists. The scenario: during procurement or technology selection, big companies repeatedly compare across several dozens-of-pages PDF spec sheets โ chip specs, API capabilities, SaaS plan tiers. Those spec sheets have no shared format, so buyers manually copy the parameters into Excel line by line: slow, tedious, and error-prone. Greg calls this key problem "decision delay." SpecSheet automates it: the user drags in a few competitor PDFs, the system extracts and normalizes the fields, and out comes a sortable web comparison table. The decision goes from "half a day of hand-copying" to "drag it in, wait a few seconds." Better still, every PDF someone uploads makes your synonym mapping more accurate โ which is the moat itself: the more people use the product, the better it gets.
