Levanta is an affiliate marketing platform for Amazon sellers. It connects brands with creators and publishers, generating links, tracking clicks and conversions, and handling affiliate payments. Ian Brodie and his cofounders launched the production product in March 2023, building on two years running Grovia, an affiliate recruitment service that started as a Fiverr listing, grew to 26 employees and about $3M ARR, and was sold in a mid-seven-figure deal. Grovia taught the team how brands recruit and activate partners, while showing that its internal software worked better as a service tool than as a self-serve SaaS product. Levanta applied that experience to Amazon’s newer attribution capabilities, where sellers could finally measure external marketing and pay affiliates. The founders first won agencies that already managed affiliate programs; those agencies could bring both client brands and affiliates. They also targeted large Amazon aggregators, each with many brands. Ian reports more than $230,000 MRR in December 2023, profitability in Q4, 650-plus brands, 2,500-plus affiliates, and a 10-person team in January. He described the revenue as nearly a $3 million annual run rate. These are founder-reported figures, not audited results.
For an affiliate platform serving Amazon sellers, start with partners who already control trust and distribution on both sides of the market. Levanta’s team chose affiliate agencies first because those firms needed a way to offer Amazon affiliate management to clients and could recruit creators as well as brands.

Data credibility: Ian Brodie, a cofounder, reports the MRR, profitability, brand and affiliate counts, and team size. These are founder-reported and unaudited figures; the transcript does not cite third-party financial data or disclose customer concentration, plan pricing, retention, or gross margin.
Levanta's first revenue was set up before the product existed. With Grovia's exit behind them, Ian Brodie wrote a white paper and raised a $430,000 pre-seed round from seven angels, enough to hire a customer success manager, a salesperson and a developer and pay the three cofounders a basic salary.
Levanta’s growth loop depends on making an affiliate partnership more useful for every participant. A brand joins to measure sales from creators; an agency can offer a new Amazon service; creators get trackable links and reliable commission payments.
A two-sided marketplace can feel stalled when brands wait for creators and creators wait for offers. Levanta’s founders reduced that cold-start problem by using service experience and partner access accumulated through Grovia.
