She had never done SEO and had never used AI for it. She answered a fresh Upwork job posting with a Loom video, sold a $3,000/month blog retainer, lifted the client's SEO traffic 1,000% and got raised to $5,500 — on about twenty minutes a day.
Fewer bars = easier, cheaper, or faster for an AI-assisted solo builder. Editorial judgments based on the case details.
Six months before this video, Sandy knew nothing about AI beyond having downloaded Claude, and nothing about SEO. Her method was mechanical: open Upwork every day and read the new job postings. She found a client looking for someone to write SEO blog posts for their app. She had never done the work. Instead of a written proposal she recorded a Loom video and said she would be happy to get on a call. They took the call, and she pitched making the blogs for them. She still had no idea what to charge, so she booked a second meeting, spoke to her coach in between, and was told she could probably ask for $3,000 a month. She went back and sold it at $3,000. Then she had to deliver something she had never done, so she asked Claude what she was supposed to do next and built a simple system for producing the posts. In the first month or two the client's SEO traffic went up by 1,000%. They raised her to $5,500 a month. She still has them, and reportedly spends about twenty minutes a day on the account. That is the whole case, and its usefulness is in how ordinary it is. No audience, no portfolio, no testimonials, no technical background. A job posting, a video reply, a price she had to be talked into, and a result that justified a raise she did not have to ask for.

Every figure comes from Patrick Dang describing his own client Sandy — the $3,000 opening retainer, the raise to $5,500, the 1,000% traffic increase in the first month or two, and the roughly twenty minutes a day — with no dashboards, contracts, invoices or screenshots shown, and Sandy does not appear. The 1,000% figure is a percentage with no absolute baseline, so it is unverifiable in scale. Later in the same video he states in passing that Sandy makes $40,000 a month, offering no breakdown and no reconciliation with the single retainer described earlier; we record it because he said it, and flag that it does not follow from the story told. His own claim of over $100,000 a month, and his other clients' figures (Brandon at $10,000/month inside 30 days), carry the same caveat. The video's call to action is a free three-day training and a sales call, which is the commercial interest behind all of it. The transferable parts — reply with video, do not price in the first call, sell before you build — do not depend on the numbers being exact.
