"Vibe coding allows anybody to create things without a technical background. But it doesn't mean that it succeeds. The real difference is always in the execution and your ability to distribute that."

Youssef is a French founder living in Hong Kong who started a B2B lead-generation agency, The Scalab, in 2019, and describes himself as a six-figure agency founder turned SaaS founder with zero technical background. Scalist came out of the work the agency was already doing by hand.

Data credibility: Founder's own quarterly review video, published April 2025, 205 views. Every number is self-reported with nothing shown on screen: the 55% quarterly growth and the ~14.5% monthly rate are Youssef's own figures, stated as a percentage on a base he never discloses. The TinySeed investment amount is explicitly undisclosed. He refers in passing to "the road from 0 to 5K" covered in a separate video but never says in this one whether 5K counts revenue, users or anything else, so we do not treat it as a revenue figure. The "six-figure" label in the video title and his self-description attaches to the agency, The Scalab, not to Scalist. The channel metadata tags this video Brazil and Portuguese; the transcript is in English and the founder places himself in Hong Kong with a French accent, so we use what he says, not the tag. Pricing, customer count, MRR and headcount for Scalist are never stated — sections 07 and 08 are marked as our inference.
The founders were their own first users, and that is the real advantage in this story.
Scalist launched in March 2023 and was bootstrapped for roughly two years — Youssef defines that precisely as using the money you generate to grow the business rather than raising it, which means revenue existed well before any investor did.
YouTube is the main acquisition channel, and it compounds in a specific way here.
The dead stretch for Scalist was not the launch.
