Find a topic people read about constantly and nobody makes videos about — gas prices, factory shutdowns, crop failures — and turn the news cycle into an AdSense channel with a four-step Claude prompt.
gas-price channel: $10,131 in 19 days on 3.2M views · real estate channel: $14,687 in 90 days · operator claims $2M lifetime AdSense since 2018
"When I say ghost niches, what I mean is creating videos on topics that are not in video format." If you can Google it and find a hundred articles but no videos, that gap is the business.

The operator has run faceless YouTube channels since 2018 and says he has made over $2 million in ad revenue across all of them. What makes this worth reading is not the lifetime number, which is unverifiable, but the four small channels he documents with dates and figures. He started a channel about gas prices. Not gas station reviews, not energy investing — news about gas prices. "This faceless YouTube channel paid me $10,131 in just 19 days. And all I did was post videos about gas prices, which you know, sounds stupid." That produced 3.2 million views, over 4,700 subscribers, and a top video at 745,000 views paying $2,726 at a $3.66 RPM. Because it worked, he replicated it. A channel about factories shutting down made $2,439 in eight days. He applied the same approach to an existing real estate channel, which made $14,687 in 90 days. Then he pushed further into the boring: "Let's get weirder. Let's do farming and agriculture." That channel made $4,107. Four channels, 90 days, over $30,000. In a second video he shows a different channel, Goal Theory, that earned $8,502 in 28 days on 1.3 million views by covering the World Cup — but from an angle that had nothing to do with football. He targeted Americans with content about Europeans encountering American life: Costco, Walmart, pickup trucks. "Yes, it was about soccer, but not really."
There is no promotion in this model at all. The whole acquisition argument is that if a topic has a hundred articles and no videos, the algorithm has to route that demand somewhere, and you are the only place it can send it.

The first dollar is AdSense, and it is deliberately small per view. The gas channel's best video did 745,000 views for $2,726, an RPM of $3.66; the channel overall paid $10,131 against 3.2 million views, about $3.17 per thousand.
The compounding here is not audience loyalty, it is a production line cheap enough to bet with.
Goal Theory shows what the dead stretch looks like: months of earning cents a day on a channel he describes as completely dead.

Unusually for the genre, the operator names his own channels (Goal Theory) and shows YouTube Studio screens rather than blurring everything, which makes the traffic side of his claims spot-checkable — but no dashboard was shown in a way that independently verifies the revenue figures, and the $2 million lifetime total is a bare claim. The per-channel figures ($10,131 in 19 days, $2,439 in 8 days, $14,687 in 90 days, $4,107, $8,502 in 28 days) are all self-reported. The $246,000 lifetime and $69,800 single-video figures on his older channel are likewise spoken only. The community-wide figure of $556,452 across members is his own manual count of testimonial posts, and he explicitly states results are not guaranteed and that many members got no results — we have kept that caveat rather than repeating the number as evidence. Both videos are free content funnelling to paid Skool communities, and one promotes a video-generation tool he has a relationship with, so treat every figure as selected to sell.
