Mostafa Hisham co-founded Xpovi, a software product that automates financial modeling and business planning for early-stage companies. Customers answer about 30 questions, receive a business plan and Excel workbook, and can use a manual to navigate the model. The company launched the month before the interview with a one-time purchase model. Hisham said 20 customers had bought the product for $249 each. He named TGS, a grocery delivery business, as a customer that purchased a plan. The founders had raised $300,000 in pre-seed financing at a $3 million valuation, according to the interview. Hisham said the team had grown from three founders to eight people. They were considering adding recurring software features such as editable dashboards, investor sharing, and reports, but these were future product plans. The revenue evidence is a founder’s account of transactions, not audited billing records.
