Tibo is a French indie hacker who built ten products that went nowhere before the eleventh worked. The reason he was building ten is the useful part. In 2015 he spent two years on a project that failed. In 2017 he did it again — another two years on an idea that was never validated. His words: I just lost two years of my life, twice. When he regrouped with his previous cofounder, they made one absolute rule: never again would they work for multiple years on a product that was not validated. Everything would be validation-driven above all else. So in 2021 they started shipping a new product every week until something stuck. This was the very early days of AI, so shipping was genuinely hard. Some products earned $200 or $300 a month. That was the ceiling, week after week. Tweet Hunter, launched in April 2019 by his account in one part of the conversation and described as the eleventh product, behaved completely differently. Within the first two weeks it reached about $1,000 in monthly recurring revenue. His read on why that mattered: people were willing to pay just for the promise of what it was doing. That felt like validation because it was revenue-driven. His diagnosis of the trap he had been in is sharp. He had built a game teaching kids to program and got to around 15,000 monthly users with almost zero paying users. Free usage boosts your ego; revenue is the only signal. And if 95% of your users are free, the feedback you hear most is from people who will never pay — which is why every product he runs now has paying users only. It scaled to over $300,000 a month and sold with its sister product Taplio for $8 million.

Thibault 'Tibo' Louis-Lucas states that Tweet Hunter reached about $1,000 MRR within its first two weeks, scaled to over $300,000 a month, and was sold alongside Taplio for $8 million with a two-year stay and roughly 75% of the price structured as earnout. No dashboards, contracts or filings appear; the Tweet Hunter/Taplio acquisition is publicly known but the internal terms and the revenue figures are his account alone. The distribution details — 25% of profits and exit to one Twitter influencer as head of distribution, and up to 17 creator-investors at 0.1% each with no promotion obligation and roughly 80% participation — are likewise self-reported and unusually specific. Note that the transcript dates the Tweet Hunter launch to April 2019 in the opening while also describing it as the product that followed a 2021 ship-weekly sprint; the dates in the auto-transcript are inconsistent and we have not resolved them. His current portfolio (Revid, Outrank and others, reported elsewhere at roughly $1M/month combined) is covered separately in this directory; this entry deliberately concerns the earlier business and its exit, which the portfolio entry mentions only in passing.
