Two ex-freelancers sit between funded US startups and Central European designers, charge $4,990 a month per client, and keep the spread.
4 clients at $4,990/mo · about €15,000 profit in June · zero churn so far

Kareem was 22 when he sat down with Nathan Latka in September 2023. Eight months earlier he and a co-founder had launched revolution.design with one offer: top-tier senior design talent, hired in a day, for $4,990 a month, pause or cancel any time. By the interview they had four clients at that price, $20,000 a month top line, and the number Latka kept circling back to — zero churn. Clients who signed in the first weeks were still there eight months later. The founders are not the designers. They are the layer above. Between them they had roughly fifteen combined years of freelancing for tech startups, and they converted that into a creative-director role: they brief the designers, direct the work and own the client relationship. The designers are contractors, and the founders are open about the arbitrage — they say they are from Slovakia, they point at STRV in Prague as evidence the region has world-class design talent, and they say a strong European designer is happy on €2,000 to €3,000 a month. One designer covers up to three clients. The buyer is specific: a tech startup that just closed a seed or Series A, run by a technical founder or a marketer who has no way to judge a design portfolio. The pitch is the comparison table on their own pricing page. Hiring a full-time designer takes up to 41 days and costs $120,000 to $160,000 a year in New York or San Francisco. An agency charges $50,000 to $200,000 a project. A great freelancer, in Kareem's words, is a needle in a haystack. Their stated goal for the end of that year was 20 clients and $100,000 a month.

Every figure — $4,990 per client, four clients, $20,000 a month, about €15,000 of June profit, zero churn, €2,000-3,000 designer cost — is stated by the founder on air and is unaudited; the host does the profit arithmetic out loud rather than seeing a dashboard. The auto-caption garbles the founders' location in one sentence ('here in Chicago are probably in Slovakia where we are from'), so we only report the part that is unambiguous: they say they are from Slovakia, and they cite STRV in Prague as a regional benchmark. The caption also mangles the price of the top-of-funnel website audit, so we describe it without a number. The $100,000/month end-of-year target is an ambition stated in September 2023, not a result.
