When a product becomes too complex to sell itself, pair self-serve adoption with expert sales that makes the possible use cases visible.

Product Fruits is a digital adoption platform that helps software companies onboard users and guide them through a product. Karel Papík joined cofounder Ladja after Ladja had built the early product and had about six customers. Founded in 2020, the business first bootstrapped for roughly a year, then raised investment. Papík described a 12-month period in which the company grew from roughly seven to ten customers to about $50,000 in monthly recurring revenue. It built demand through product-led growth and Google Ads, selling internationally from the start rather than expanding outward from the Czech market. The product later broadened beyond tours and hints into feedback, announcements, webinars, lifecycle communication, and AI assistance. Papík said the company had more than 1,300 paying customers, 25 employees mostly in Prague and Pilsen, and ARR in the lower millions. As complexity rose, self-serve conversion weakened, so the team added enterprise sales and rebuilt around practical AI features.
For a digital adoption platform, the first customers are product teams whose users need help reaching value inside a web application. Start with a narrow use case such as trial onboarding, then approach SaaS founders and product managers who can install a guided tour quickly.

Data credibility: Cofounder Karel Papík reports 1,300+ paying customers, ARR "in the lower millions", 25 staff, early MRR growth and funnel metrics in a SaaS Club interview; the host cites $3.5M total funding. All figures are self-reported and approximate; no dashboard or filings are shown.
The first dollar in this category comes when a software team pays to reduce confusion that blocks activation, adoption, or expansion. Product Fruits started with product tours and hints, which let a small SaaS company guide users without building every instruction into its own codebase.
A digital adoption platform compounds when each successful customer uses it to improve the experience of its own users. Product Fruits benefited from product-led growth, and its founders used the platform within their own product, demonstrating the value of guided onboarding directly.
A B2B adoption product can feel quiet between a trial install and proof that users are completing better workflows. Keep the team close to the implementation: review the customer's onboarding path, help publish the first guide, and inspect whether users reach the intended outcome.
