Subscription analytics that plugs into a company's billing account and charges on a slider tied to that company's own revenue — the customer's growth is the price increase
price scales with the customer's own revenue · named users include ConvertKit, npm, Todoist and Hubstaff
"I had a flat rate pricing plan and I was missing out on so much extra revenue." Baremetrics prices on a slider tied to your revenue — bigger customers cost more to serve and can afford more, and a flat fee hands that difference away for free.
Fewer bars = easier, cheaper, or faster for an AI-assisted solo builder. Editorial judgments based on the case details.
Baremetrics was founded by Josh Pigford, and it sells subscription analytics to other SaaS businesses. The pitch the host reads off the site is "subscription analytics to grow your business faster" and "the easiest way to get the insights you need."

Data credibility: 📎 Creator-Reported. The source is a 386-second listicle by the YouTube channel SaaS University, which sells a micro-SaaS course, narrated over Baremetrics' own website. The founder was not interviewed. "Over 900 companies using this product" is read off the company's site by the host, and the video's own description states a different customer count than the voiceover does, so treat the figure as approximate rather than exact. The integrations named (Stripe, Braintree, Shopify Partners, Chargebee, Google Play, App Store), the customer logos (ConvertKit, npm, Todoist, Hubstaff), the revenue-linked pricing slider and the split into metrics, Recover and cancellation insights are all things the host demonstrates on screen. No revenue figure, no price points, no churn and no team size appear anywhere. The auto-caption renders the founder's surname as "Josh Pig"; the video's own description spells it Pigford, which is what we use. Sections 08, the second half of 09 and the marked passages in 06 and 07 are our own analysis.
Subscription analytics has the lowest activation friction in B2B software: the whole product is one OAuth click against a billing account, after which it already knows everything.
The first dollar arrives quickly here, because the buyer has already quantified the problem for you: they are exporting billing data into a spreadsheet every month and resenting it.
Two loops turn at once. The first is inside the pricing: because the price rises with the customer's revenue, a cohort that simply stays produces more every year with no upsell conversation, so growth in the customer base compounds with growth inside the customers.
The hard stretch in an analytics business is not signups; it is the months afterwards, when people connect an account, admire the charts once and never return.
