Jonathan Liss built Zen Mode after using LinkedIn outreach tools in a sales job and receiving a warning from LinkedIn. He first made a tool for his own prospecting, then left his job around March to work on it full time. A working prototype took about four to six weeks. Before launch, he discussed the build on Reddit and other social platforms and collected more than 30 people on a waitlist. Three customers paid on launch day for early lifetime deals. About six months later, he reported 55–60 active paying users, roughly 650 total signups, and about $2,000 in monthly revenue. The product suggests target companies, prospects, and message sequences from a user’s website. Liss built it alone with AI coding tools and sells to B2B professionals seeking LinkedIn prospecting support.
Liss started by documenting a problem he had experienced himself: LinkedIn outreach software felt risky after his account received a warning. He talked about the build on Reddit communities focused on building in public and indie hacking, linked those posts to a waitlist, and added other social platforms before launch.

Data credibility: Founder interview. Monthly revenue of about $2,000, 55–60 active paying users, roughly 650 signups, and pricing are self-reported and unaudited. The founder said no user had been banned while using the tool; this safety claim was not independently verified and does not establish future compliance or account protection.
Zen Mode’s first reported payments came from lifetime deals sold on launch day. Liss said the one-seat offer was $69, the three-seat package about $149, and the five-seat option about $249; one of the first customers bought the five-seat package.
The early loop combined product use, customer feedback, and proof. Liss said about 15 people bought lifetime deals during the first month and that nearly all were still using the tool six months later.
Liss kept posting on Reddit for about six months but recognized that repeating similar topics had become less effective. That is a signal to change the asset, not simply increase posting volume.
