RevenueCat provides subscription infrastructure for mobile app developers. At its AGA 2026 keynote in New York, CEO Jacob Eiting framed the company’s mission as helping developers make more money by connecting app revenue operations, analytics, pricing, and new financial services. He reported that about 41,000 apps went live through RevenueCat in the prior year and 107,000 had already gone live in the current year, bringing the cumulative count to 200,000. He also said the platform was tracking $17 billion in annual revenue across those apps. These are platform scale and customer business metrics, not RevenueCat’s own revenue. The keynote introduced early payouts, which lets eligible developers access up to 80% of App Store proceeds before Apple’s normal payout date. Eligibility included at least $500 monthly revenue, three months on RevenueCat, and good standing. The product direction is to combine subscription tooling with financial and optimization services.
For a developer infrastructure product, the first customers usually come from a narrow group with an urgent integration problem. Start with founders launching subscription apps who need receipts, entitlement status, and renewal events to work reliably across app stores.

Data credibility: CEO Jacob Eiting reported 200,000 apps and $17 billion in annual customer app revenue tracked by RevenueCat. These are platform metrics stated in a company keynote, not third-party audited figures and not RevenueCat’s own revenue.
Subscription infrastructure earns its first dollar when a developer’s app depends on the service in production and the customer sees enough value to pay for ongoing usage or advanced capabilities.
Developer infrastructure compounds when every integration creates better reliability, documentation, and confidence for the next app team. More apps create a wider range of billing edge cases; solving those cases strengthens the core product and attracts developers who need the same support.
A developer platform can feel quiet for a long time: users may install an SDK, test it, and abandon the project without telling the team why. Set up observable activation milestones instead of relying on praise or signup counts.
