AI analyzes a creator’s X history and turns it into personalized content coaching.
$300K ARR (~$25K/month) in two weeks · ~500 active paid subscribers · ~80% margin
"Someone goes out and builds Creator Buddy 2.0 in 5 seconds, but they have 10 followers — I'm going to outsell them in circles." Three years of tweeting was the moat; the AI-built app was the easy part.

Creator Buddy is an AI content coaching app built by Alex Finn. It pulls a user’s posts from X, analyzes them, and gives guidance on creating better content. Finn says he built it after manually reviewing his own tweets in spreadsheets and wanted to automate that work. He began building in August 2024, recruited beta testers in December, and launched in January after seven or eight months of iteration. The founder says the product reached $100,000 ARR within 15 minutes of launch and $300,000 ARR within two weeks, with almost 500 active paid subscribers. He also says it runs at about $25,000 a month against roughly $5,300 in monthly costs. These are his own figures, not independently verified. The launch relied heavily on a large audience Finn had grown over three years of publishing on X, including a viral thread about the X algorithm. He says he handled the product himself, initially using Cursor and later Windsurf, with a stack that included Next.js and Supabase. The case is more about solving a personal workflow and building distribution than replicating a launch spike.
For a creator analytics product, start with a small group whose workflow you understand firsthand: writers who publish frequently and already review their performance. Finn shared a working prototype with his X community on day one and asked what would make it more useful.

Data credibility: Alex Finn states the launch ARR figures, subscriber count, monthly revenue and cost breakdown himself in a Starter Story interview. No dashboard or third-party data is shown; ARR is an annualized run rate, not cash collected (his ~$25K/month matches the $300K ARR figure).
Finn says Creator Buddy reached $100,000 ARR within 15 minutes and $300,000 ARR within two weeks, because hundreds of people who had followed six or seven months of build updates and a full day of X Spaces were waiting to buy at minute one.
The product’s natural loop is that users connect their X history, receive guidance, apply it to new posts, and then add more posts for the next analysis. That creates a reason to revisit the app as the content archive grows.
Creator tools often receive enthusiastic beta feedback that does not translate into sustained use. Finn describes spending months getting feedback, improving the app, and iterating before launch, with 150 beta testers in December and individual walkthroughs with each.
